This Privacy Policy explains what information Fur Majesty ("we", "us") collects when you visit our website, book an appointment, or use the customer portal, and how we use, share, and protect it.
Information we collect
- Contact details — name, email address, and phone number, provided when you book, register, or contact us.
- Pet information — your pet's name, breed, size, and vaccination records, needed to schedule and safely provide grooming services.
- Appointment and service history — bookings, groomer notes, and photos taken during your pet's visit.
- Payment information — processed directly by our payment processor, Square; we do not store your full card number.
- Account credentials — if you create a customer portal account, including "Continue with Google" or passkey sign-in where available.
- Usage data — pages visited and general site interaction on our public pages, collected via Google Analytics (see Cookies & Analytics below).
How we use your information
- To schedule, confirm, and provide grooming appointments.
- To process payments and send invoices or receipts.
- To send appointment reminders and service updates by email or text message.
- To maintain your pet's vaccination and service records for their safety and ours.
- To understand how visitors use our public website, so we can improve it.
Cookies & analytics
Our public pages use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall site traffic. A cookie banner lets you decline this on your first visit; declining stops analytics cookies from being set on any later page you visit. We do not use analytics cookies on the customer portal or admin panel. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer.
Text message (SMS) communications
If you opt in to text updates, we send appointment reminders and service notifications via our SMS provider, Telnyx. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, START to opt back in, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run Fur Majesty, and only as needed to provide our services: Square (payments), Telnyx (text messaging), our email delivery providers, Google (sign-in and site analytics), and Cloudflare (secure file storage for pet photos and documents). We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention & security
We retain appointment, payment, and vaccination records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet our recordkeeping and legal obligations. We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
- You can review and update your contact and pet information anytime from your customer portal account.
- You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and change your analytics cookie choice from the site footer.
- You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting us below, subject to records we're required to keep.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for use by adults booking grooming appointments for their pets. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
